Start with the vehicle and the destination
Avangard Motors is the authorised Mercedes-Benz dealer in Armenia. If you live in Moldova and are considering a vehicle in Yerevan, we can discuss the model you want, the configuration that matters to you and the next steps for an individual purchase. The useful first question is not simply whether a Mercedes-Benz can be bought abroad. It is which exact vehicle would meet your needs and what would be required to own and register that vehicle in Moldova.
Tell us whether you are shopping for a sedan, SUV or another body style; whether the vehicle is for a person or a business; and whether it is intended to remain in Armenia or be imported into Moldova. Those answers shape the quotation and the paperwork questions. You can begin with our Mercedes-Benz model overview, then ask us to narrow the choice to vehicles and configurations we can actually discuss. A model shown online is a starting point for a conversation, not a promise that a particular car is in stock or available for export.
What you can settle with us before travelling
An overseas purchase is easier to evaluate when the conversation concerns one identified vehicle. Ask for its full configuration, production details relevant to your intended import, vehicle identification number when applicable, and a written description of what the proposed sale includes. Confirm the proposed buyer's name, whether a private individual or company will sign, and which documents each party would need. If you have a trade-in or financing question, raise it separately so it does not get confused with the vehicle price.
We can explain the vehicle and prepare a commercial proposal based on the actual request. Ask us to state the price currency, payment schedule, included items and validity of the offer in writing. A quote for a vehicle in Armenia is not the same as the total amount you may pay to import and register it in Moldova. Bank requirements, exchange costs, customs charges, transport and local registration costs need their own checks. Do not transfer funds on the basis of an informal description when the vehicle, seller, buyer and payment terms have not been agreed.
The Moldova-specific checks to make early
Moldova's Customs Service says that a vehicle can be declared for import by its owner, a legally authorised representative or a licensed customs broker. It lists identity, proof of ownership or use, a power of attorney where relevant and the vehicle's technical passport among the documents to present. It also says import duties vary with factors including the vehicle's age, engine capacity and calculated customs value. These are reasons to check the chosen car, not to rely on a generic duty estimate or a price for another model.
The Public Services Agency in Moldova lists a customs document, ownership document, identity document and vehicle identification report among the materials for registering an imported vehicle, with further foreign registration documents where relevant. Its page also links the name on the import customs documents to the person in whose name the vehicle is registered, subject to stated exceptions. Decide who the Moldovan importer and eventual registered owner will be before the purchase documents are prepared. For the exact vehicle and buyer, confirm the current customs, tax, registration and currency requirements with the responsible Moldovan authorities and your bank. The applicable route and any restrictions on a cross-border transaction also need to be checked before a delivery plan is agreed.
Choose on use, then confirm the exact specification
A model name alone will not tell us whether the car fits your life in Moldova. Describe the number of passengers, luggage needs, typical roads, parking space and annual driving pattern. If you are considering an electric Mercedes-Benz, discuss where you would charge at home and on regular journeys before making that choice. If you prefer a combustion-engine or hybrid vehicle, ask for the details of the actual powertrain under consideration. Equipment and features can differ between vehicles with the same model badge, so the written vehicle specification matters more than a general model description.
Our model range can help you identify a shortlist. We can then explain the selected vehicle's equipment and arrange a viewing or test drive where possible. Ask what is included in the proposed sale, what service arrangements are relevant to the vehicle, and which questions should be answered before travelling. Avoid assuming that a feature seen in a photograph or a different market's advertisement is present on the car in your quotation. Keep the final decision tied to the vehicle you can inspect and the terms you receive.
From an enquiry to a workable transaction
A practical sequence begins with an enquiry describing your preferred model, budget range, buyer type and intended destination. We discuss a vehicle or suitable alternatives and issue an individual proposal when its details are known. You review the specification, price and sale documents, then obtain a separate Moldova-side assessment of import and registration for that same vehicle. If travel is useful, arrange the showroom visit or test drive after confirming the vehicle and appointment. Only then should the parties settle payment, handover and any transport question in writing.
The order matters because an attractive Armenian purchase price does not establish the final Moldova cost or the legal feasibility of a particular route. It also avoids treating temporary entry, permanent import and registration as interchangeable. If someone else will collect, transport or declare the car, clarify that person's authority and the documents required by each authority. We can discuss what is available from our side, while the buyer should verify the destination-country process with the relevant officials before committing to a cross-border plan.
Ask Avangard Motors for a specific proposal
Send us the model or body style you are considering, your preferred equipment, whether the buyer is an individual or business, and whether the intended final destination is Moldova. We will help you refine the choice and discuss a vehicle-specific quotation, availability and a showroom appointment or test drive where appropriate. If you already have a list of questions from a Moldovan customs broker or registration office, bring it into the conversation early so the proposed documents can be discussed before you make a commitment.
You can browse our Mercedes-Benz models and contact Avangard Motors in Yerevan for a consultation. We can start with the car and the proposed sale; confirm import duties, registration, payment transfer and transport against the current rules and the exact transaction before making arrangements. That gives you a clearer basis for deciding whether buying through our dealership in Armenia works for you as a customer from Moldova.
